Omnibase menu
Where can I find the Omnibase menu
After logging in, the Omnibase menu is located on the left side of the screen. When opening, for example, a bookmark, you will directly enter a project. In that case, this menu can be accessed in two ways:
- Click on the database icon with the inverted letter A: the menu opens on the left side of the screen.
- Click on the Omnibase logo at the top left of the project and the dashboard overview will open immediately.
The figure below shows where the menu items are visible when logged in to Omnibase:

User roles and available menu options
Within Omnibase, different user permissions are assigned per user role, determining which menu options on the left side of the screen are available. See user roles for a table overview of the permissions assigned to each role within Omnibase. The following user roles are currently available within Omnibase:
- Admin
- View projects and perform measurements.
- Add/remove users.
- Only the Administrator (Admin) of an organization has access to the "Users" section.
- View/modify general organization settings.
- Only the Administrator (Admin) of an organization has access to the "Settings" section.
- View storage overview.
- CRUD (Create, Read, Update, and Delete) rights on data conversion tasks, data sources, datasets, and projects.
- CRUD Annotations (if created based on data models within a project).
- SuperUser
- View projects and perform measurements.
- CRUD (Create, Read, Update, and Delete) rights on data conversion tasks, data sources, datasets, and projects.
- CRUD Annotations (if created based on data models within a project).
- View storage overview.
- User
- View projects and perform measurements.
- CRUD Annotations within a project (if created based on data models within a project).
- Viewer
- View projects and perform measurements.

Dashboard menu
Properties of the Dashboard overview:
- Overview of all projects with a preview image.
- Menu is visible for: Viewer, User, SuperUser, and Admin.
Projects menu
Properties of the Projects overview:
- Overview of all projects:
- Open existing project.
- Create new project.
- Modify existing project.
- Delete a project.
- Option to filter projects by name.
- Menu is visible for: Viewer, User, SuperUser, and Admin.
Datasets menu
Properties of the Datasets overview:
- Overview of all datasets:
- Create new dataset.
- Modify existing dataset.
- Create data sources directly within a dataset.
- Delete a dataset.
- Option to filter datasets by name.
- Option to filter datasets by type.
- Menu is visible for: SuperUser and Admin.
Data sources menu
Properties of the Data sources overview:
- Overview of all data sources:
- Create new data sources.
- Modify existing data sources, only possible for:
- Point cloud.
- 3D model (3D-Tiles).
- WMTS layer.
- DTM.
- Modups Epoch (measurement).
- OGC features.
- Delete one or multiple data source(s).
- Option to filter datasets by name.
- Option to filter datasets by type.
- Additional option to delete all data sources on all pages when using both text and type filters.
- Menu is visible for: SuperUser and Admin.
Data conversion tasks menu
Properties of the Data conversion tasks overview:
- Overview of all data conversion tasks:
- Create new data conversion tasks.
- Actions within data conversion tasks:
- Start conversion.
- Cancel conversion.
- Option to show log (only for point cloud conversions)
- Option to modify data conversion task (only possible before the conversion has started)
- Option to delete the source files (manually). Note: The source files are retained for 1 month and then automatically deleted.
- Option to delete the data conversion task. Note: Deleting a data conversion task removes the converted data and all other created data sources. These cannot be recovered.
- Option to filter data conversion tasks by name.
- Option to filter data conversion tasks by Conversion type.
- Menu is visible for: SuperUser and Admin.
Data models menu
Properties of the Data models overview:
- Overview of all data models:
- Create a new data model.
- Modify existing data model.
- Delete an individual data model.
- Option to filter datasets by name.
- Menu is visible for: SuperUser and Admin.
User and Settings management menu
Properties of the user and settings overview:
- Overview of users and other settings applicable at user level.
- Menu is visible for Admin only. See user roles for more information.
