System requirements
Computer system
- We recommend using a dedicated GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) when working with Omnibase:
- A separate graphics card with its own video memory and processing power is recommended.
- An integrated GPU is often insufficient for fast 3D rendering.
- Required for efficient visualization, particularly of point clouds and 3D models.
- Minimum of 8 GB RAM.
- Sufficient free space to download .laz files if necessary.
Internet connection
- Required: stable and fast internet connection.
- We recommend a minimum internet speed of 80 to 100 Mbit/s.
- The faster, the better: with higher internet speeds, data can be retrieved and displayed more quickly.
- If external services are used, such as PDOK, loading speed may be affected by the service provided by the external provider.
Let us know if this is the case, and we will assess whether optimizations are possible.
- Slow internet connections may cause upload interruptions with large datasets.
Browser requirements
- Omnibase is accessible via modern web browsers, such as:
- Google Chrome
- Mozilla Firefox
- Microsoft Edge
- The browser must support WebGL for 3D visualization.
Cloud environment and security
- Data is stored in a secure cloud environment within Europe.
- Access requires personal login credentials.
- Availability: 99.9% uptime guarantee.
Hosting and storage capacity
The hosting category determines the available storage for point clouds, aerial imagery, and other data sources.
The amount of storage used by your organization can easily be viewed via the storage overview.
